This month, our Featured Student is… Megan! Megan is a dream. She comes into the studio and always means business. Her gymnastics background seem to have given her a great work ethic and also make those pole tricks look all beautiful and flexy. She can even do walk overs in 7 inch heels with a smile on her face!!!! Megan is always smiling, fun and gives us all great motivation. Currently firing through our Expert Level, lets see what Megan has to say about all things pole…

Scientist…a geek at heart but it’s okay, pole balances it out!

How long have you been a Pole Physique/ general pole student?

I’ve been poling about 3 years with a few wee breaks, but joined the fabulous PP classes about a year and a half ago & loved how experienced and enthusiastic Tiff is!

What is your favourite class type and why?

I used to be all about tricks and curriculum, but after doing one exotic class it is definitely my new fav!!

What is your favourite pole move and why?

Omg there’s so many I love…rainbow marchenko, eagle, or a super flexi Russian split!! Amazingg! ….buuuut from the moves I can actually do I’d probably go for a twisted grip handspring as people tend to be quite impressed with it, but I also like a cross knee bridge or jade splits.

What is your nemisis and why?

Anything on spinning pole, it’s so difficult! I’ve no idea how anyone can make their moves look elegant and fluid on spin, they amaze me.

What do you wear to class? Is this what you want to wear?

Like most people the longer I’ve been at pole the smaller my pole clothes have gotten!…I wouldn’t have dreamed of wearing my current Lycra pants and crop tops at the beginning!
Also…never did I think I’d see the day where I fell in love with a pair of 7″ tacky stripper heels, but now I have to admit I loveee them.

How long did you think about taking a pole class before you actually took the plunge?

I’d always thought it looked cool but didn’t decide to try it til I’d heard a few of the girls of work had been, after that I couldn’t wait
